Translation Tuesday: Plum Tuckered Out

“Plum Tuckered Out” is a cute saying down here that just means “I’m so worn out” or “I’m exhausted.”

It certainly sounds a lot sweeter than “I’m worn out.” That really is one of the things I love about it down here… from the words people use to describe things, to the tone of voice or even the accent… it is just sweeter.

We’ve hit the end of the semester in my world… I’ve got to give a final, complete some grades and finalize a couple of reports and I’ll be on vacation…. because after the end of the craziness of this fall, I am plum tuckered out!
